Hotels, Resorts & Homestays

Wholesale Supply from SCANDALINEN — Handcrafted in Vietnam

100% French Linen · OEKO-TEX® Certified · 50+ Colors · Custom Sizing · No Minimum Order

The bedding in your rooms communicates something about your property before a single word is spoken. Guests feel it when they pull back the covers. They notice the weight of it, the texture, the way it drapes. Natural linen bedding — the kind that gets softer every wash and improves visibly with age — communicates quality, intentionality, and care in a way that standard hotel polyester never can.

SCANDALINEN has been supplying handcrafted French Linen bedding to boutique hotels, resorts, and homestays since 2018. We manufacture from our 2,000m² workshop in Hanoi with a team of approximately 100 skilled artisans. We have no minimum order requirement — a single room refresh is as straightforward to order as a full property fit-out.

Why Boutique Hotels Are Choosing Linen Bedding

Hospitality bedding has two jobs: it needs to perform reliably through commercial laundering cycles, and it needs to create the first impression that determines how a guest describes their stay. Standard polyester-cotton blends do the first reasonably well. They fail at the second.

French linen excels at both — for reasons that matter specifically in a hospitality context.

Durability That Outlasts Standard Hotel Bedding

Linen fiber is approximately 30% stronger than cotton by tensile strength. It does not pill, does not thin out at stress points, and does not develop the slight greyish cast that white cotton hotel bedding acquires over time regardless of laundering. A well-maintained linen sheet set lasts 10–15 years of regular use. At comparable price points, cotton typically lasts 4–7 years in a commercial setting.

The cost-per-year calculation strongly favors linen for hospitality properties that are thinking beyond the initial purchase order.

Thermal Performance in Warm Climates

Most boutique hotels, resorts, and homestays that contact us are in warm or tropical environments — Vietnam, Southeast Asia, Australia, the Middle East, Southern Europe. These are exactly the conditions where linen's hollow fiber structure and moisture-wicking properties most outperform cotton. Guests sleeping in linen in a warm climate wake up drier and more rested. This is not a marketing claim — it is the finding of a 2024 systematic review published in the Journal of Sleep Research by researchers at the University of Sydney.

The Aesthetic That Defines a Property

Linen has a particular visual quality — relaxed, textured, intentional — that has become the defining aesthetic of the boutique hospitality category globally. It reads as premium without reading as corporate. It photographs well in property listings and social content. It ages visibly better than cotton, so rooms look as good in year three as they did on opening day.

Sustainability Credentials That Guests Notice

SCANDALINEN's French Linen is woven from European Flax certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 — independently tested to confirm no harmful substances at any stage from field to finished sheet. Flax requires no irrigation, minimal pesticide use, and is fully biodegradable. For properties with sustainability positioning, this is a genuine credential rather than a marketing aspiration.

Your bedding is the first thing guests touch when they arrive and the last thing they touch when they leave. In boutique hospitality, the details at those two moments define the review.

How Hospitality Orders Work

No Minimum Order — From 1 Room to 100+

Unlike most wholesale linen suppliers, SCANDALINEN does not require a minimum order quantity. A single guestroom refresh, a trial order for one room type, or a complete property fit-out are all handled the same way. This is particularly relevant for boutique properties that want to test linen bedding before committing to a full property order.

Custom Sizing at No Extra Charge

Vietnamese, Southeast Asian, and other regional bed dimensions frequently differ from European or American standards. We accommodate any size within our standard pricing — no surcharge for non-standard dimensions. Provide your exact mattress dimensions and desired drape measurements; we cut accordingly.

Sample Policy

We strongly recommend ordering samples before committing to a full property order. Contact us with your preferred color, product type, and size — we can provide samples at product cost (credited against your first full order). This allows your housekeeping team to assess the fabric in your specific laundry conditions before committing.

Lead Times

Standard production: 2–3 weeks for orders up to approximately 50 units. Large-scale orders (50+ units, multiple room types): 30–45 days production. We recommend confirming lead times at the point of order for accuracy, particularly during peak periods.

Shipping and Export

SCANDALINEN ships internationally. Export terms: FOB Hai Phong Port (Vietnam), or CNF/CIF to your destination port on request. Payment: 100% TT in advance, USD. We have shipped to hospitality clients in the UK, Australia, and across Southeast Asia. Shipping cost estimates provided at quotation.

Why Not Standard Hotel Polyester-Cotton?

Most hotel bedding supply chains are built around polyester-cotton blends: easy to launder at high temperatures, resistant to staining, low cost per unit. For large chain hotels running 200+ rooms on industrial laundry systems, this makes economic sense.

For boutique properties, the calculus is different. Your guests did not choose your property because it feels like a Marriott. They chose it because it doesn't. Standard hotel linen is the single detail most likely to undermine the investment you have made in everything else — the architecture, the design, the location, the food.

French linen launders well at 40–60°C, handles commercial washing cycles reliably, and becomes more beautiful over time rather than less. The cost difference per unit versus polyester-cotton blends is real. The cost difference over a 10-year replacement cycle, once durability is factored in, is significantly smaller than it appears at first purchase.

Your guests will not remember the thread count. They will remember how the bed felt. Linen is the only natural fiber that gets noticeably better every year — and that improvement is something your guests will feel on every return visit.

Frequently Asked Questions — Hospitality Supply

[ FAQPage JSON-LD schema — add to page <head> ]

Does SCANDALINEN have a minimum order quantity for hotel supply?

No. SCANDALINEN has no minimum order requirement for hospitality supply. A single room's worth of bedding is as straightforward to order as a full property fit-out. For new hospitality clients, we recommend starting with a sample order (1–2 sets per product type) to assess fabric quality and color accuracy in your specific environment before committing to larger quantities.

Can you accommodate non-standard bed sizes for hotels and resorts?

Yes. SCANDALINEN produces all bedding to measure — custom sizing is standard, not an exception, and is available at the same price as standard dimensions. Provide your exact mattress length, width, and depth, plus your preferred drape measurements. We cut accordingly. Vietnamese and Southeast Asian bed sizes, Japanese sizes, and other regional standards are all routinely accommodated.

What is the lead time for a hotel linen order?

For orders up to approximately 50 units, standard production time is 2–3 weeks. For larger orders — full property fit-outs, multiple room types, large unit counts — allow 30–45 days production time. We recommend confirming lead times at the point of enquiry, as capacity can vary. Rush orders may be possible depending on current production schedule; contact us to discuss.

What linen fabric is best for a boutique hotel in a hot, humid climate?

For hot, humid climates — Vietnam, Southeast Asia, Australia, the Middle East — 100% French Linen at 165–175 GSM is the strongest choice. Linen's hollow fiber structure creates continuous airflow through the fabric and wicks moisture away from skin rather than absorbing and holding it. Guests sleeping in linen in warm climates consistently report sleeping drier and more comfortably than in cotton. SCANDALINEN's French Linen is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified and stonewashed before production for immediate comfort.

Can linen bedding handle commercial hotel laundering?

Yes, with appropriate settings. SCANDALINEN's French Linen performs well in commercial laundry at 40–60°C on gentle-to-standard cycles. Avoid temperatures above 60°C, bleach, and high-heat industrial drying. Linen becomes softer with each wash rather than degrading, which means commercially laundered linen bedding improves over time rather than declining — unlike polyester-cotton blends that begin to show wear relatively quickly. We provide full care guidelines for hospitality housekeeping teams on request.

Do you offer embroidery or custom branding on hotel linen?

Yes. SCANDALINEN offers embroidery services — property name, logo, or custom monogramming on pillowcases, duvet covers, and flat sheets. Contact us with your design requirements for a quote. Manual and industrial embroidery options are available depending on quantity and design complexity.

What are the shipping and payment terms for international hotel orders?

Export terms: FOB Hai Phong Port, Vietnam. CNF and CIF terms available on request. Payment: 100% TT (bank transfer) in advance, USD. For first-time clients, we recommend a sample order before committing to large-quantity production. We provide proforma invoices and can advise on import documentation for your destination country. Current international hospitality partners include clients in the UK, Australia, and Southeast Asia.
