How long does shipping take?
Orders typically arrive within 3β4 weeks from the order date. This includes handcrafting time at our Vietnam workshop and international shipping. We'll send you a tracking number as soon as your order is on its way.
Is linen fabric rough or stiff?
New linen may feel crisp at first β this is completely normal. It softens significantly after the first few washes and becomes one of the most comfortable fabrics you'll own. Pre-washing before use is recommended.
I'm buying from Vietnam β is that a concern?
Not at all. We're a Vietnam-based workshop using European flax linen and high quality blended linen and we ship internationally every week. All orders are carefully packed and tracked. If anything goes wrong in transit, we'll make it right.
Will the color fade over time?
Our fabrics are dyed for durability. Avoid bleach and harsh detergents to maintain color. Some natural softening of tone may occur over years of use, which is characteristic of quality linen.
Does linen wrinkle easily?
Yes and that's part of its charm. Linen's natural texture and relaxed wrinkles are a signature of the fabric. If you prefer a smoother look, iron while slightly damp on medium heat.
Can I return or exchange if the size doesn't fit?
Yes. We accept returns within 30 days for unused, unwashed items in original condition. Contact us at scandalinen@gmail.com and we'll guide you through the process.
Are your products safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. We use natural fibers free from harmful chemicals, gentle on all skin types including sensitive skin.
Do you offer gift packaging?
Yes, all orders are packed neatly and suitable for gifting.

Carry the Blooming Beauty of Hmong Batik Artistry
This Indigo Bloom Hmong Tote Bag is a stunning masterpiece that combines two ancient Hmong textile arts: traditional batik wax-resist dyeing and natural indigo coloring. Each floral and geometric pattern is meticulously hand-drawn with beeswax before being dipped into indigo vats, creating intricate designs that bloom across the fabric like wildflowers on mountain slopes.
The Ancient Art of Hmong Batik:
Batik is one of the most labor-intensive and revered textile techniques among the Hmong hill tribes of Northern Vietnam. Artisans use a traditional canting tool to hand-draw intricate patterns with hot beeswax onto handwoven fabric. The waxed areas resist the dye, creating stunning contrast when the fabric is submerged in natural indigo baths. After dyeing, the wax is removed to reveal the beautiful white-on-blue patterns that have defined Hmong textiles for over 5,000 years.
Each bloom, spiral, and geometric motif carries cultural meaning: flowers represent fertility and growth, spirals symbolize the cosmos and life cycles, and geometric patterns trace ancestral stories and migration paths.
Why This Bag is Extraordinary:
