Machine wash cold (30°C / 86°F) on a gentle cycle. Use mild, natural detergent avoid bleach and fabric softeners, which break down natural fibers over time. Tumble dry low or line dry in shade. Warm iron if needed. Wash separately for the first time to prevent color transfer.

How long does shipping take?
Orders typically arrive within 3–4 weeks from the order date. This includes handcrafting time at our Vietnam workshop and international shipping. We'll send you a tracking number as soon as your order is on its way.
Is linen fabric rough or stiff?
New linen may feel crisp at first — this is completely normal. It softens significantly after the first few washes and becomes one of the most comfortable fabrics you'll own. Pre-washing before use is recommended.
I'm buying from Vietnam — is that a concern?
Not at all. We're a Vietnam-based workshop using European flax linen and high quality blended linen and we ship internationally every week. All orders are carefully packed and tracked. If anything goes wrong in transit, we'll make it right.
Will the color fade over time?
Our fabrics are dyed for durability. Avoid bleach and harsh detergents to maintain color. Some natural softening of tone may occur over years of use, which is characteristic of quality linen.
Does linen wrinkle easily?
Yes and that's part of its charm. Linen's natural texture and relaxed wrinkles are a signature of the fabric. If you prefer a smoother look, iron while slightly damp on medium heat.
Can I return or exchange if the size doesn't fit?
Yes. We accept returns within 30 days for unused, unwashed items in original condition. Contact us at scandalinen@gmail.com and we'll guide you through the process.
Are your products safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. We use natural fibers free from harmful chemicals, gentle on all skin types including sensitive skin.
Do you offer gift packaging?
Yes, all orders are packed neatly and suitable for gifting.

The Sacred Diamond — Hmong Heritage Stitched in Every Corner
This Hmong Diamond Pattern Embroidered Pillow Cover brings one of the most sacred and ancient motifs in Hmong textile art into your home. The diamond — a symbol of rice terraces, prosperity, and the interconnectedness of community — is hand-embroidered with extraordinary precision onto handwoven brocade fabric, creating a decorative cushion of deep cultural meaning and timeless geometric beauty.
The Diamond in Hmong Culture:
The diamond shape is one of the oldest and most revered motifs in Hmong weaving and embroidery tradition. Each diamond represents a terraced rice paddy — the foundation of Hmong highland life for thousands of years. The repeating diamond pattern symbolizes the continuity of tradition, the cycles of planting and harvest, and the interconnectedness of family and community working together, just as rice terraces require collective effort to build and maintain.
Each diamond is hand-embroidered onto handwoven brocade fabric that has been hand-dyed using traditional techniques. The artisan works from memory, placing each stitch with the precision of someone who has been practicing since childhood, guided by a cultural vocabulary of patterns inherited across generations.
Why This Pillow Cover is Extraordinary:
Cultural & Spiritual Significance:
In Hmong cosmology, the diamond is more than a geometric shape — it is a window into the Hmong worldview. The four corners of the diamond represent the four cardinal directions; the center represents the home, the family, the self. Repeating diamonds create an infinite lattice that symbolizes the unbroken continuity of life, the connection between generations, and the harmony between human communities and the natural world.
Displaying the diamond pattern in your home is believed to invite prosperity, harmony, and ancestral blessings. By choosing this piece, you're preserving an endangered cultural heritage and honoring the women whose skilled hands keep these sacred traditions alive.
Perfect For:
Lovers of geometric and architectural design, ethnic textile collectors, conscious home decorators, spiritual seekers, art lovers, fair-trade supporters, and anyone who appreciates the profound meaning hidden within precise geometric beauty.
